Pick and Pick

Perennials

We will have asparagus -- lots of it -- annually. Conditions permitting, we are able to cut beautiful fresh spears from the middle of April until the middle of June.

Next in chronological order will come strawberries. They should begin producing about the last week of May each year, always subject to the vagaries of the weather, naturally, and continue for at least
three weeks. We will post on our home and Facebook page what varieties are available. You are welcome to come and pick them yourself, or grab a quart or two at the local Farmer's market.

After that will come our beauitiful Apache blackberries. They ripen in July normally and will also be listed on our website and Facebook pages. These are magnificent, thornless berries, trellised and easy to pick if you care to do so, or we will also have them availible at the Columbia Farmer's market.

Red raspberries are wonderful, and ours are fall bearing. They start ripening in August and continue through the fall until frost. The variety is Heritage, and although they don't bear huge berries as our blackberries do, they are so good tasting that we feel they're worth the extra picking.
